H&K Sports Fields was founded in 1996 by Don Hawkins, a baseball enthusiast whose experience and awards are:
• Recommending scout for the Cincinnati Reds
• Appleton American Legion baseball coach and manager
• Wisconsin High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Famer
H&K Sports Fields is now led by Mike Parent, a construction engineer whose background includes site layout, grading, drainage issues and landscaping as owner of Parent in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin. A past baseball player and coach himself, Mike’s love for the sport comes though in H&K’s exceptional service to clients and dedication to a quality finished product.
H&K has a patented product Magic Mix™, which is used on the fields to make the ultimate playing surface. Magic Mix™ is the newest material available for baseball and softball fields. Magic Mix™ allows for a great, safe playing surface. The material is by for the most cost cutting, labor saving material available today.

H & K Sports Fields was recently hired by the City of Kimberly Park & Recreation Department to prepare their Sunset Park Softball Facility for the 2007 National Pro Fast Pitch World Championships. H & K provided labor and equipment to re-grade the infield, edge the turf areas and top dress the skinned areas with its H & K “Magic Mix ” top dressing material.
The world championship brings the world’s best female softball players together for a weekend tournament that leads to eventually crowning of the National Pro Fast Pitch Champion.
The tournament was held August 24th, 25th and 26th.
In addition H & K Sports Fields was proud to be a corporate partner of the event that benefits Kimberly area children as well as other non-profit organizations in the Fox Valley.
